So, today is Autism Awareness and Acceptance Day!
It reminds me of the importance of the village, a necessary construct in the training up of the children of the past. In its mondern day evolution it takes the form of church ride, an encouraging tap on the shoulder, an inspirying video and so much more!
on this day we wear blue, surprisingly that is Nickos favourite colour, to show our support and Nicko received his share of support!

"Good morning my sister I just want to say it’s been a great experience watching Nicholas over the years growing into a fine young man, it’s also been a pleasure getting to know him and assisting him when you traveled I have learned a lot from just being in his presence you both are continually in our prayers especially knowing that our society is still learning how to live with differently able individuals ♥️." (Deacon Braitewaite)

"Your inhibition does not define you. You are truly filled with so many other character traits that the world needs. Continue to thrive. I’m so happy to have been a part of your development." (Ms. Qualis)
So lets get down to the core of things. What is Autism?
According to Autism Speaks, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication. According to the Centers for Disease Control, autism affects an estimated 1 in 36 children and 1 in 45 adults in the United States today."
